Born the eldest of five children, I grew up in rural Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, surrounded by farm animals and dreaming of owning my own farm someday.
My dream came true in 1982. Then, after ten years of milking, I sold the cows to custom raise dairy heifers...a challenging profession that I enjoy to this day.
My family includes my husband Sidney, daughter Jessie, son-in-law Steve, and three lovely granddaughters. In my spare time, I enjoy doing beadwork, feather art, and making homemade soaps.

I'm as passionate about my writing as I am about raising cattle. My mystery novel, Maribel Red, reflects my experiences on the farm and is a favorite of mine even though I find short stories easier to write.
